Wireless conection?

I have a modem that came with my internet provider Verizon and later found out it was also a router model 327W. But for some reason I cannot p/u a signal with my ipod touch and neither could my freind with her laptop. when i try 2 set it up it asks for a username and password which i never entered? what is it talking about im so confused!

The default username and password should be

Username: admin

Password: password

Try that and set it up.

First I think if you dont get the signal from the router then you should configure it because the SSID is hiding not broadcasting.

You have type your browser 192.168.1.1 and then type default username and password that comes with router you should get that from back of the router or the manual.

Then go to the wireless management or wireless configuration and disable the SSID hiding and aslo use good encryption like WPA2 enterprise or MAC filtering.
