  1. 1 Turn on the only one computer.

2 turn of your modem and router

3 turn on the modem and wait for it to load

4 turn on the router and wait for it to connect

    5 restart the computer

  2. you might have to reset your router , could also be a problem with the laptops wireless device

  3. Does it have the correct wireless card in the laptop or check the settings to make sure that both are main computer and the laptop are the same. If a pot is different it won't connect

  4. this problem due to dhcp....

check dhcp scope range from router,if its not sufficient give more range.

also check your boyfriend laptops wireless nic card "tcp/ip properties whether the ip settings are set to "obtain ip address, everything ....automatically"

    this will solve your issue!!!!

  5. Id make sure that your IP address has been put in the same on your laptop as it is on the side of your router or on a piece of card you got in the box
