Wireless keyboard quit working

The wireless keyboard on my Toshiba Satellite 1955-S803 quit working after a windows update on 10/17. This happened once before and a system restore solved all of the problems. For some reason, I can't do a system resotre to any of the previous restore points that are stored on the computer.
