Wiring Hampton Bay Fan

Question

i have two switches on the wall. One was for light and the other fan blade movement.We had a problem and someone installed a new hampton bay fan when buying the house. Now both fan and light work off only one of the two switches.I undid cover for fan and see that i have white, black and red from ceiling. I have black red white bule from fan.How do I get these circuits to work independently as before? green is to ground on fixture.Thank you
