no matter what u always want to go with the lower "ohm" reading so the power acoustik in my opinion

the power acoustic is better...u get a better rms and a better decibel reading too.....just make sure u power it right and put it in the proper enclosure

but also remember

get a good box and good amp too

my freind has a bigger amp than me and better subs

but his box is too weak

and it sounds bad

i have a huge box for my amps and they sound better

Alpine for sure!

I am not a huge fan of their head decks (I have had 2 not so great for the price) But I do like the sound quality of their speakers and the thump is great!

the alpine type x is a far better subwoofer

You can't compare those two, they are for two opposite things. the Alpine is made or sound quality, and the Power Acoustik is made for SPL, they aren't in the same league.

alpine is a better brand they can handdle more power and they look better but they also cost more so if u can afford it and have to get one of those two then go with the alpine subs

For credibility, the second.

also for a little more you can get FI Q's which are alot better and will last a lot longer AND are a reputable brand

lol that power acoustik one is a peace of **** i used to have 2 and i blew one and my amp was only 2000 max power and they were not loud at all then i got 2 400 rms jbl subs and it blew the power acoustik subs by a **** load that alpine will slam way harder go with the alpine you cant go wrong
