- You would have a problem if your significant other brought home less money than you?

- Would you feel empowered that you bring in more?

- Would you feel that you are on equal keel with him in making decisions at home?

- Would you prefer that he brought in more money than you? Why?

Hi Noor, I answered your question in the other one for guys, I just wanted to add that I would feel like I was on an equal keel with him regarding decision making regardless of our income... that is a must really.

Although I would prefer him to bring in more money for many reasons including when we have kids and I have to stay at home to look after them at least the drop in salary won't be as bad as if we suddenly lost the biggest income...

men should be the head of the household regardless of income.

Meaning husband and wife should consult one another but the man should generally have the last word.

I agree with the above answers,:  equality in the marriage, even if the wages are not equal.

I had been the one before to earn more.. more often than not, being the ONLY wage earner in the past. So Yea, i guess it's "empowering" but I felt proud I could do so much. It was not about who earns more. If it had been him, I would been proud of him.

but i must say that having been self responsible for such a long time by now,  I hope my future husband makes more money.. because I am tired of holding the big responsibility. I want to do my part, but not be the big earner. After caring for others for so long, I want help to care for me. (is that selfish? idk..)

I would never marry a man with such useless complexes over wage earning.. If i earned more it should not be seen as an attack on his masculinity nor should I ego trip about it.

if i was to be in such a situation- i dont think i would mind at all whether he got more money into the home than me or not.

No,i don't have any problem with this..as long as he's doing his best ,working to be better & ambitious, it's ok for me, i would never feel superior ,god forbid !

NEVER .... if i get married,i'd marry a man i love & believe in ... so no way to feel empowered or superior to him any moment in my life.

Basicly ,we both should be on equal kneel in making decisions at home ... we have to discuss everything & do what we think is the best for us , it's never a unilateral decision

But if it's something on which we have really different viewpoints,and one have to take the decision,then it'd be my hubby.

Yes,i'd prefer,but i won't care much

simply,for him not to feel bad about it ... it's a bit sensitive issue for men ....But it's ok for me

I can tell you one thing for sure: no matter who brings in more money, we'll definitely be on equal keel in making decisions at home.
