Women in NASCAR?

Crissy Wallace has had a few truck races, and there are rumors of Danica cashing in on her name in NASCAR, but, has anyone heard of any other female driver(s) out there with an honest shot at a cup ride?

not really. theres been a few who have raced before but never dii good enough to get recognized. one had a ride with BAM  but then ken schrader took over for her

i'm only 15 right now...so i've still got a few years..but plan on seeing me in Nascar at some time!

but...i don't think Danica would last long in Nascar.

& i haven't heard of any other females even trying.

I'm glad to see the question.  The attitudes of some respondents give you your main answers.  If the majority of the race fans don't want to watch women drive, no matter how good they are, then the women will not get contracts.  It's all about the money.

Danica Patrick is living proof that a woman can drive an Indy car competitively.  There is no reason to think that she or some other woman couldn't do the same in a NASCAR vehicle.

Other myths that have been debunked:

Women cannot fly combat aircraft.

Women are not strong enough to run the marathon.

Black men aren't smart enough to play quarterback.

Black men aren't smart enough to coach.

That is funny.  I was just thinking when I would see Crissy again in Truck.  She did not do too bad..finished the race.  God I would love to see Danika race in Nascar...those boys would teach her well.

Kelly Renae Sutton she drove in the Nascar Truck series a couple of times...but I think she's done racing.

Jennifer Jo Cobb gosh I think she ran in Bush a couple of times and Truck..but shes been out for a while.

Let us not forget Sara Christian the first female to race Nascar.

I heard talk of Danika in Nascar and Crissy, but no one else.

Women in NASCAR?  Bring 'em on!  I don't care what gender you are (or race for that matter).  If you have the skills, talent, and the drive then get behind a wheel and go for it.

Personally, I'd like to see any woman driver take it to 'the Shrub'!
