I think this is bogus.  I was on birth control for my skin and I stopped taking it after I had been dating someone for over a year - there were absolutly no changes in my feelings for him.

I've been with my husband for 20 years.  I was on the pill the first 8 years, and off for 12 (thanks to a tubal making it unnecessary).  My feelings for him are unchanged.  Maybe a bit stronger since we've been together longer.

Mercola, the author of this article, is a mouth for ultra-conservatives who oppose birth control, abortion, universal health care coverage for children and who have called Social Security "evil and immoral".  He belongs to the ultra-conservative whacko organization, the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons whose members include John Birch Society members and associations.  This article, although possibly based in fact, cannot be considered as serious science itself due to the author's conservative agenda, association with anti-women's rights organizations and history of presenting false-hyped medical/pharmaceutical claims in the past and has been held in violation for that twice by the FDA..

Love, I'm a man, and I have some authority in this area, and I must confess that this is silly.  What makes one attracted to another is far more the underlying neurologic substrate than endocrine factors.  Endocrine and "pheromonal" factors are oveplayed in the media, but truth be told, what attracts on to a mate is firstly appearance, i.e. attractiveness (a subjective matter) and then beyond that other matters, harldly influenced by estradiol levels.  The neurologic substrate is far more important in determining suitability of a mate than this sort of pop-psych nonsense.

The doses of estradiiol/progresterrone are so small in the common era that they simply have no effect on sexual attrraction.  You can believe this silly fellow, or you can believe me.  It's at your discretion.
