Won't pick up connection

Question

I just got my desktop back working. My router is in another room so I plugged in a USB wireless adapter to pick up the router on my desktop. It works well, but when I'm trying to play a game online I need to connect the ethernet cable because the game won't load wirelessly but when I have the ethernet cable plugged in it says the connection is good but I can't even get on websites it says its not. What do I do?

turn off the router and modem then after about 5 mins plug in the modem with the router off after all the lights come on on the modem then plug in the router after it lights up start your comp should be good to go then

It means the connection is too weak. Try leaving the door open or bring the router closer to the computer, in the same room at most. Also when you are visiting websites try clicking on the refresh button if it gets stuck. If you use Internet Explorer try getting Firefox it will be less slow.

hmmm thats exactly whats been happening to me lately 0.o

fortunitly mine is back to normal, try restarting your computer a few times or just wait a couple days to see if it goes back to normal. My connection was fine but i couldnt log onto my accounts or certain websites as well. Good luck!
