Word Pad Format Transfer Issue?

Hello,

I used Word Pad however I started to play with tabs to get a proper sitcom format,however when others open this on their computers it is just one letter,every line for about 600 pages. I was playing around with tabs etc but was wondering if there is a good way that I could sort this or a site I could copy,paste and send from??

Ask them what program did they use to open that file. Maybe you used Word Pad to type it but when others opened the file..there is a possibility that they used other programs such as Microsoft Words!

Make sure they also use Word Pad to open that file. Another way is to resend the file.

Lastly, you can just copy everything you typed and paste them into Microsoft Word, since Microsoft Word is compatible with most computers..

never use WordPad for formatting. Word is better.

Try this:

open your file in Word and use the replace function from the edit menu.

replace all the tabs (just copy one empty tab from the document and place it in the replace window. see what will happen. at least you will get the initial looks.

Or ask your friends to open it with WordPad.

Try saving the document as .rtf or .doc  

Otherwise, use Open Office from http://www.openoffice.org.  It's a free  alternative to MS Office and uses the same .doc formats.
