  1. I had my work exp at a school and I know how you feel. But trust me, I expect you're doing a much better job than you think you are. You're there to work, not make year sixes fancy you, remember that =]

The kids are just excited there's new people around, and they like the fact that you're older, however if they see you as a friend and not a teacher then that's not necessarily a good thing.

The first day I started my work exp I was told not to touch the children, but they wanted to hold my hand and sit on my lap and hug me so it was a bit conflicting. Your friend might be good with the kids but that's not always important.

I found that for the first week or so the kids tried to make me their friend and I realised that wasn't what I was here to do.

My advice is to just relax a bit, it doesn't matter if you're 'not pretty' or whatever just remember, talk to the children like you're in charge, but be careful not to patronize them. Help them with their work and try and join in with their activities. Be encouraging and just be fair, offer for any children you see wandering on their own to come and sit with you, or join in any group activity you're involved in.

Sorry it's so long, hope I helped somehow >.<

  2. MAYBE YOU NEED TO STOP WORRYING ABOUT YOUR FRIEND AND GET SOME SELF CONFIDENCE
