At the time of my injury, i was working full time and i was (and still am) going to school full time. it has been five months, and i have been getting paid by workman's comp, and have been going to the doctors. All of a sudden, today i get a phone call and they tell me that i am not eligible to receive any money, and im pretty much thinking that this means that i have to pay them all of the money back. I DONT HAVE THE MONEY TO PAY THEM BACK, ITS OVER $4,000.00 AND I AM PAYING FOR SCHOOL!!! i dont know what to do!!! i dont understand why they would have paid me in the first place if they knew i was a full time student! this doesnt make any sense to me, and i was just looking for someone with a little bit of knowelege or someone with good advice!!

THANKSSSS!

  1. okay, calm down.....you dont have to pay them back...they are not asking for the money back they are just saying that you arent getting any more....if you have a letgitimate claim due to injury on the job then they have to pay 100% of your medical and a percentage of your wage for lost wages....(here in florida its 66%)....they will go back for 8-12 weeks to determine your average pay...if you have not worked that long for your employer they will use someone in your position at your pay to base it on.....dont sweat it...oh, and by-the-way...because they have paid part of the claim they admitted to your having a legitimate case pending...so your payments should start back up...if they dont i think i would consult an attorney who will work on contingency
