World Legue?

Should the top seven teams from the super fourteen and the top seven teams in the Heineken Cup combine in alternate years to have a World Legue?

That would be interesting but there is no room in anyones schedule. Out of interset the teams would be at the moment (based on Super 14/ Heineken Cup results).....

London Irish (ENG)

Chiefs        (NZ)

Hurricanes (NZ)

Stormers   (SAF)

Gloucester  (ENG)

Thats leaving out 4 of the top 5 teams out of the French compitetion and also leaving out 3 out of the top 5 in the English comp. A top performing Irish side would be left out and the Aussies would be moaning like anything about only getting one team into the mix

It would be interesting. I think the top 4 of each because thats the break off point in the super 14. But the problem will be finding a time to do it because teams have international in June/July. Provincial tournaments in September (Currie cup and Air New Zealand cup come to mind) November International again so It would give players Terrible Fatige and their is no time to do it
