Ok I'm 16 years old, and my boyfriend is 21. And we think I could be pregnant. If I was, and we were to get married. Would he get into trouble, even if my parents are both aware of the situation?

  1. The legal age of consent under the UCMJ is 16, so he most likely won't get in trouble through the military.  BUT..your parents can still file charges.  Don't get married just because you have a child together.  To put it bluntly at 16, I don't think you can handle the military lifestyle.

  2. Yes, he can be charged with statutory rape.  Just please do yourself and your child a favor by not getting married merely because you have a child together.  You both have obviously shown irresponsibility and simply not ready for marriage.  Raise the child on your own if you and your parents feel capable, or give the kid a fighting chance and put him up for adoption.

  3. State law doesn't matter in this case.  The state law may say that you can have s*x at 3 years old - but the UCMJ clearly states that sexual relations with anyone under the age of 18 is considered statutory rape, and the member may be subject to court martial and be sent to prison if convicted.

And the fact that your parents are aware means nothing outside of the fact that they are aware the soldier involved has no morals and isn't interested in following orders.

  4. After the mystery of us-911.

As long he stay in line.

    Not messing around out there.

    He'll be safe.

    Only be alert.

    What do you think?

  5. Yup thats statutory rape.

  6. According to State law...check your age of consent in your State.  However, the Army may charge him with a violation of the UCMJ, if there was no parental consent.  Not sure why parents would give permission for their daughter to have s*x, but they have laws on it.

  7. He will not get in any trouble as long as it was consensual under the UCMJ (uniform code of military justice) which requires a minumum age of 16.  However, under civilian law your parents can still press charges. And if going guilty and the judge really hammers him, he could have him tossed in jail until your 26 and your child is almost 10 years old.  I suspect if that were the case he would most likely be given a general discharge from the military leaving you're child without any benifits anyway. Best thing you can do if you are planning on bringing this child in the world is hope your parents decide not to press charges.  Good luck

  8. as far as i know, not unless you or your parents decide to sue him for statutory (or how ever you spell it) rape. Other than that he most likely wont get in trouble

  9. Sounds like you need legal advice; the professional kind.

  10. wow dude must be a marine hahaha

but seriously u should be ashamed of urself

  11. I have a friend who got pregnant at 17, her dude was an MP, 20 or 21 years old back then. Her parents signed for their permission for them to get married and they got married before she turned 18. Been married 6 years now and he's even E-6 by now. Guess cuz the parents signed it was okay.

  12. It depends on the state in which you live.  Different states have different ages of consent.  He would get into trouble if you are under the age of consent, parental permission does not matter.

  13. Yes. You are under age. He is way old enough to know better. He's a pedophile..You can still get married but I don't think you should at your age.
