Would this be disrespectful?

I am meeting my boyfriend's family this weekend. They are coming in from out of state and will be staying at a hotel in town. He wants me to meet them and stay the night at his apartment with him. I would go home but its an hour drive for me. Would it look bad to her if I stayed the night with him? by the way..i am 20 he is 24 and i am a single mother (the child is not his) and both have our own places. GOOD ADVICE ONLY PLZ!!!

No, you are both adults. And the parents are staying in a different place, so I don't see the problem but if you still feel insecure you can ask him not to let them know that you are staying with him.

Make them believe that you are going to all that trouble by driving all the way from home and back just to meet them. LOL.

your a grown woman/mother does not mater what they think yous have probably already had s*x and his parents probably know that so dont worrie about it just dont be to loud that night haha :P best of luck

If he wants you to stay the night, stay. He knows his parents and if he wouldn't want you to stay, he wouldn't ask. And maybe he doesn't want you to drive back at night. Or maybe he wants to show them how much he cares about you. Anyway, he's not living under their roof so they can't really tell him what to do and what not.

I think it's fine if you stay the night at his place.  This is the year 2008 and we have to accept the fact that times are changing...

I think it's fine. You're not a child and neither is she. I don't think your boyfriend would ask you to stay if he thought she would have a bad opinion of you for it.

Honestly how would she know you stayed their unless you guys told her. If they are staying at a hotel then they shouldn't be worried about where you are sleeping. You guys can meet then maybe go get dinner then take them to the hotel and head back to his house. What momma don't know won't hurt her.

Tell him to ask his parents.

I know where you're coming from, call me old-fashioned, but i was brought up in a way that i'd expect his parents to look at that as a bad thing.

I dont see any problem with it, however, if he asks them.

but if he suggested it he obviously either doesnt care or knows theylly be okay with it,

if you want to go this far, sleep on the couch or have him sleep on the couch only.

If he wants you to stay the night at his place he knows they won't be uncomfortable with it. What are you going to do with your kid?
