would u care if there were wiping streaks on the lens of a point and shoot digital camera, but the picture quality is the same in all lighting conditions? (as in u cant see the streaks in any lighting condition)

  1. yes. have it cleaned. maybe its not affecting the picture quality now, but it will soon.


  2. If they absolutely aren't showing up in any of my pictures then no, I wouldn't care.

  3. If it doesn't affect the pictures and you're just a casual shooter then you shouldn't really worry too much. Try wiping a lightly-dampened (with water of course) lens cleaning cloth over the surface to reduce and dilute any cleaner that you may have used. Quick, gentle, and linear strokes only. Don't wipe in a circular motion. Streaks are commonly caused by oils and cleaner fluid residue.

    It may hurt resale value but who resells point & shoot cameras? They become obsolete in a few years anyway. You're fine, don't worry about it.
