Would you be so Shallow ?

If we lived in the early stages of evolution, you did not know how attractive you were but you could see other people and they could see you yet there were no mirrors.

Would you be so picky about who u were attracted to or would attraction not exist at all.

There are different levels of attraction. We are social beings so obviously we'd still seek each other out. I think our actions would be guided by instincts rather than what society says is beautiful and such.

Theres more to attraction than just the physical though, and nowadays relationship that make it are based more on personal compatability rather than physical attributes. Attractiveness is subjective so it dont matter what period we live in, somebody somewhere would find you attractive depending on what their defination of attractive is.

It would exist because even animals have different degree of attraction to each other, based on different things.

Maybe it wouldn't be on looks, but the survival-of-the-fittest instinct would kick in and women would be attracted to strong men and men would be attracted to more able women.

but attraction based on TV would definitely not exist.

I don't need a mirror to see other people and for them to react to me, I can tell when someone is attracted to me I am pretty sure that as part of being human we all have the attraction to each other in one way or another some people really do judge their prospective partners by the way they look but as evolved animals I think we have always known ourselves what we are attracted to without a mirror because we all have things we look for in a partner and looks might be up on the list but not always a deal maker/breaker for everyone.

Different type of attraction. Animal Attraction, we would've looked at how fast , strong another being was.  Rather than the now adays aesthetic and physical attractions.

People are shallow because of one man. Years ago a wealthy fat man got stuck in a bath, and had to be removed with the help of others. He went on a diet to prevent the same happening again. Others followed in His example and dieting was born.

Attraction would still exist, but in a different way than it does now. It would not be influenced by any media source.

How do you think people procreated back then?

Also, there may not have been mirrors.. but there certainly was water back then which can be used as a place to view one's reflection.
