I think this would have been investigated properly.At the time Madeleine went missing,everybody everywhere was jumping on the bandwagon with sightings.Trying to get their 5 minutes of fame whatever.Or maybe they really were being helpful.I don't know.

Firstly, the photos are nothing like Madeleine, but I'm sure they were checked out.

Secondly, I'd really like to know if Madeleine would ever refer to herself as 'Maddie'.

I remember in early interviews with the press, Kate made a point of asking the press NOT to call her Maddie, that her name was Madeleine and that the family only ever called her Madeleine.

So would she really tell someone her name was Maddie?
