  1. no.. being vegan is a way of life.. cooking meat or even eggs is unexceptable.. i'm sorry... vegans dont partake in the death of any animal even cooking is wrong...

  2. I am vegetarian and I enjoy vegan food but I will prepare meat dishes if people want them although for every meet dish there are several vegetarian/vegan alternatives that I think are better but if somebody wants a spaghetti and meat suce I will make it. I handle the meat with gloves.

  3. Get a cookbook full of vegan recipes and see if you can create a dish that your sister will enjoy. It might take some time but there has to be some meal that she'd end up liking that doesn't include meat.

Shouldn't your parents be the ones preparing meals for your younger sister anyways? Why are they putting it off on you?

  4. If you find you are unable to feed your little sister food she would like to eat, why don't you just take her OUT to dinner?

    Good Luck

  5. No. I can't bring myself to touch meat anymore.

  6. i would explain my mom cooking that goes against my decitions and morals, i think she'll understand

  7. That's a good question.

Personally, I don't cook meat for my family anymore. They know where I stand and my reasoning behind being a vegan.

I think that it's actually rude and insensitive to ask a veg*n to cook meat. It's asking someone to go against his morals. That's like asking someone who's against capital punishment to flip the switch on the electric chair just because its a convenient arrangement for someone else.

I don't know how little your sister is, but if she's at least 7 years old, perhaps you could teach her how to cook the food herself. There's nothing wrong with supervised kitchen training. :-)

  8. i am a vegetarian and i would never cook meat. my sister cooks it for my mom on mother's day, but i threw up when i saw it, so i can't cook it. i can barely stand to be in the same room with meat. it goes against my morals, virtues, values and principles, and it is just gross :( When I think of those poor animals... I get so nauseous...

  9. DO NOTHING !!!!

  10. I don't think you should have to because it sounds like you're a vegan for more moral reasons, not health reasons, so explain this to your mom. Make sure when you're explaing this to her you use a calm voice and encourage her to ask any questions because you want things to be clear.

  11. i say no. meat is going 2 far. cooking eggs r ok, i guess. @ my house, we do not cook meat 4 anyone

  12. You need to cook for your little sister.  You signed on to the vegan life style your sister didn't and I'm guessing she is to young to do it herself.  Then be the big brother and take care of your little sister.
