I'm saving for my Americas backpacking trip after 4 years in Asia and Europe. I plan to hitch every country in the Americas....I did it in some places where people thought i'd be crazy to do so; Pakistan, Myanmar, China and Cambodia....so i reckon it'd be ok

Yes I would go.  Have a friend who goes there for business and likes it very much.  I would like to see it for myself.
