if instead of demanding the government intervene in darfur, people donate to a fund to hire mercenaries to go in & kick butt? everything gets worse when our fed meddles & it costs us trillions. so far, the iraq war has cost $1,725 each person. for a fraction of that the thugs could be eliminated & the gov there taken over. then, we could be the ones sellin china that oil.

  1. No, it would not.  War never settles any problem, it only creates new ones at the same time that it makes old ones be even worse.  That is a truth that is a maxim.

IF our nation would STOP supporting tyranny around the world, then the evil conspiracies would not find any support.

Darfur is NOT only related to a locality, it is a region, and a big one!  Most of Darfur is in the north of Sudan, and many maps do not show that.  Both Chad and Central African Republic are areas supported by our USA in which much tyranny and particularly in Chad, are a much larger genocide than in Sudan!  USA supports Chad so that genocide is ignored!  In fact, all of the surrounding nations are involved in strife and discord: Chad, Central African Republic, "Democratic" Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Kenya and Ethiopia all have political and military discord, with rebels crossing their borders to commit crimes against humanity.  But because "they are African", our news media and our government ignores what is going on there, to the pain and suffering and loss of life of hundreds of thousands of civilian victims!

No!  Let us not make it worse!  Let us try to break the political world tyranny that delights in people suffering!  Let us strive for peace, economic stability, and education in EVERY African country so they can join us in a better life!  THAT alone will stop the tyrannical governments and bring Democracy to the world!

  2. it is usually not the intent of a govt to meddle in anothers affairs. Lets say your neighbor starts something, who will help you?

That is not the issue in Darfur. genocide with a purpose is...food for those who can keep it is, ownership of land is another. These issues are not being resolved with crimes against citizens by it's own govt.

Oh yeah, maybe the neighbors are allowing it because they are poor too.

  3. Honestly, what strategic interest do we have in Darfur?

  4. I like your idea but it wont work. There is far too much money being spent on this senseless war but it is not going to change.

  5. Yeah what happened to the good ole days when ya just go in kill everyone and take over?
