Writing a book??????????????????

Question

i want to write a fictional book, i have mt topoic i just need a setting and character names =] i want names that are different but not weird i need 3 girl names and 4 boy names (for teens ) and i need good llast names (like 5) for other characters that i've already decided on =] and the setting of the book i want to be somewhere in northern america(like north dakota or something) =] thanks

You really should be the one to name your characters. They are your creation. By the end of your novel you should care about each one. A lot of writers use baby name book or baby name generators online. Last names cane be found in lists based on the time period your book is based in. Your got will tell you when the name is write.

Finding your character names can be a challenge.  But it's best if you name them yourself.  Only you know their significance to your story and in a lot of ways their name is symbolic of the part they play.  

There are dozens of baby name sites that you can access through Google.  That's where I begin because some of them let you type in a meaning (like strength, faith, hope ...those are generic but you get the idea...) and they list names matching that meaning by nationality or region of origin.  

I can't say I've used the names I've found from these sites, but it's a great brainstorming tool.  It gets the creative juices flowing :)

Girls: Hannah, Lindy, Destini, Amber, Brooke, Ava, Bianca, Victoria, Jasmine and Tonya.    

Boys: Trevor, Dominic, Ryan, Brandon,  Jaxon , Zac, Sebastian, Jase, and Cameron.

Last names: Rogers, Burke, Hadley, Maddock, Tripp, and Rowlings.
