Writing a letter of invite?

I need to write my fiend thats in china a letter of invite to the usa.Will it be hard for him to get approval? And i work f/t but i have no large earning income but i do have my own place and vehicle.So i guess what im asking do i have to have a large amount of money in the bank? Im just a regular blue colar worker..... Help someone give me some GOOD Advice!

Funny, I have a friend in a similar situation, so I have heard a little about this. But she's trying to bring her fiance over, so it might not apply.

First let me say, you need to contact the Immigration office, and just ask a lot of questions. If it's for a visit, I don't think it'll be a problem.

What I've heard is that it's best NOT to have a lot of money in the bank, because they worry you'll be sending money out of the country, but not too little, or he might be a drain on society. Can you find him a job? It has to be with a compnay that is willing to create a position for your friend and advertise it to Americans first. If no qualified american applies, he's in. That would be the best angle. Good luck.
