Wrong name on Credit card?

I applied for an American Express and received it in the mail today but it has my boyfriends last name on it as if we are married. I just got my divorce legalized today from someone else. Can I use the card even though it has the wrong last name on it. My social security number is correct on the account just not my last name. I was planning on calling them and having them fixing the name on it I was just wondering if I can still use the card until I get it corrected without getting into any trouble.????????

Unless you are absolutely, positively, going to get married and assume our boyfriend's last name, I would get it changed now to avoid potential issues in the future where you might be asked to produce both your card and another form of ID but won't be able to.

However, you can use the card without issue since the credit history that you generate from it will still be tied to you based upon your social security number since.  Many people do have name changes for a variety of reasons but it is all linked together under a common credit report.

No you should not use the card with his name on it. And I would also ask them why your boyfriends name is on it since he wasn't applying for the card.
