Can anyone give me a few examples of gothic elements in Wuthering Heights?

  1. There are quite a few Gothic elements in the book. One is Lockwood's seeing Catherine's ghost. Another is the at the end of the novel, Nelly Dean reports that various superstitious locals have claimed to see Catherine and Heathcliff's ghosts roaming the moors.     Gothic genre has to do with romance and horror. So in that sense, Heathcliff's digging up the grave of Cathy is also a Gothic element. Your qoute here, classifies as well. Only you need to explain who said it or for whom it was said. Give a background for that.
