XM and Sirus?

Question

Is XM radio the same as Sirus? Like if I wanted to listen to the jonas brothers new show and it says something about XM could I get it on Sirus??

Check out www.SatelliteSweeps.com, you can win a free satellite radio - you get to pick whether it's XM or Sirius. They are going to merge, but right now you can't listen to XM programs on Sirius.

No, but they are working on a merger so eventually you would be able to do that.  I have sirius, and I love it, xm is not as good as sirius in my opinion.

No. XM and Sirius are competing satellite (rival) companies. Sirius is available on it's own, or a dumbed down incomplete version through Dish Network satellite tv. You must purchase either a Sirius or XM dedicated receiver to receive broadcast - one will not work for the other (for example, you cannot receive XM signal through a Sirius receiver). There have been rumors circulating about a merger, but nothing yet.

you might but at the web site for xm it will give you a complete list of what they have same with sirus. the main difference that i have found is sirus is better for football and basketball they also have some non sensored music stations

Nope...XM & Sirius have 2 differenet sets of programs.  There may be a way to listen online to the show you like though...check out their websites!

These answers are mostly fine. Think of it like TV. NBC and ABC. Except soon ABC is buying NBC and will make programming from both aviailable on either - except they'll still be different for a while for billing and such.

So,no, for the moment just because one has a show doesn't mean the other does.

Probably not, but the music selection is better on sirius (in my opinion)  And the channels are less cryptic in name.  What do they play on Lucy Fred And Ethle anyone????
