I just bought the Xbox 360 VGA cable to hook my CRT monitor up to it, and I set my monitor to a resolution of 1280X1024 and I was wondering what is better 1280X1024, or 1280X720, cause I know 720 is 720i or 720p, but what is 1024? is that 1024p or what?

  1. there is nothing called 1024p u know its just 720i then 720p , 1080i then 1080p but the 1280x720 is not for the 720i or p as far as i know.

u can change resolution for the xbox from system- console settings-display then select the supported resolution for the monitor,

i dont think i helped alot here :s

  2. the 1280x720 has nothing to do with High-Def. it only has to do with the screen pixelation (my guess is that it's lengthxheight). The high-def capability will only work if you have a HD monitor.

  3. Thats your resolution size only. Unless your moniter can support hd its only your pixel size.

    I stands for interlaced and

p stands for progresses  i would explain more but dont really have the time, but progressive is better.
