I recently got an Xbox (not 360). I keep getting an error message once I start playing "reconnect controller then press start to continue" of course my 1st thought was the controller is bad. I tried another (got the same message) So, i purchased a new controller and I am still getting this message. HELP ME PLEASE :) It will let me play for approx 3-4 minutes then the message appears. Sometime I can just click on start and it will go away and I can play but after a few minutes it comes right back. It's hard to play with this message coming up. What do I do to Fix this problem?????

  1. It's probably the controller port.Did you try some in the rest of controller ports? You can probably ask a GameStop merchant. The port pobably has so burnt out wires,or there is a on of the data chip is shorting out.Go ask GameStop or find some place that fixes things like that.

  2. Take it to your nearest Gamestop.  Its a problem with inside the Xbox it's not recognizing the controllers or somthing.

  3. maybe your controller needs new batteries,

or, you probally have to reconnect it

to reconnect it you turn on xbox, then you hold the middle button of the controller, untill it turns on, after you flip the controlllike this http://img299.imageshack.us/img299/1019/... , next you hold the button that is little and on the left side on the top. it shows like arrowspointing that way

so then the controll starts blinking

so now go to the xbox 360 and click on the same button(little and circular has pointing arrows)

    then they will both reconnect

  4. Err it could be the batteries so you should check that out first. If it's not the batteries then it could be the system. If you have a warranty maybe try exchanging systems and see what happens. But first check your batteries.

Also you might wanna try reconnecting them through the sensor button, press them both and see what happens. Hope I gave some useful information. Hope everything works out for you! Good luck!
