Xp home edition emachine?

i have the key but not the cd will it work if i download it?

You need a XP disc, a legal disc for it to work. I would not trust downloading Windows XP off the internet. The CD key from the emachine is an OEM version and will NOT work on a Dell. That CD key has been Activated at the factory with emachines all over it.
