Y&R's Josh Griffith???????

Question

Josh Griffith has been fired as the EP from The Young and the Restless. This comes from Nelson Branco and it is unknown who will be replacing him.

Here's a quote from the article about it:

"Moments after Giddens' bombshell scoop aired online, The Suds Report soon learned The Young and the Restless executive producer Josh Griffith was also given his walking papers on the very same day. Astute Suds readers will remember TVGuide.ca broke news suggesting CBS chief Barbara Bloom was angling to replace Griffith this past June. The reason? Griffith was also reportedly re-writing Maria Arena Bell's scripts. However, after the Writers Guild of America sent a cease-and-desist letter to the Y&R studios, "Josh stopped hijacking scripts immediately, but everyone still wanted him fired," points out a snitch. One can only assume Paul Rauch, who recently served as a consultant on Y&R on a short-term contract, will most likely inherit the top spot on daytime's No. 1 soap opera."

Maybe this is why the Storylines have been so boring and not that Creative (Boring - Before Sudden Impact; No Creativity - The wreck that killed Sabrina and David I mean couldnt of they have thought of something better??)

It seemed like a lot the characters were acting different than they usually do lately, and I was wondering why, now I think I know why.

Griffith must have made the changes.

I hope whoever the new Executive Producer is. makes the characters I like back to the way they used to be, and adds some more drama to the story lines to make them less boring!

Yes I have noticed the boring storylines. I guess this is a good thing. Hopefully with him being fired there will be better storylines.

thank god. i had seriously stopped watching the show because it had gotten so stupid. maybe now within a few weeks (when his episodes run out) i can tune back in and find the same soap i fell in love with.

could very well be why the storylines have lacked the drama and time has been wasted to play songs instead of keeping fans capitivated w/ drama.  Maybe they need to bring back some of the former actors like Britney, Snapper, Casey (Nikki's sister), Jill's mom (claiming Kathryn isn't really Jill's mom)

Josh Griffith has somewhat disappointed me.  I believe this is a good thing.  For much of the time he was on, I noticed that Phyllis was made a supporting character, and Nick and Phyllis didn't get very much hot love, and no interaction with Summer (they hardly even had her on.)  I'm guessing he's not a fan of Phyllis or Phick, but I hope he never trashed Michelle Stafford in the process.  I hope whoever succeeds him can help Maria Arena Bell and her team get Phick back in the front-and-center #1 Position on this soap, where they d**n well belong!
