  1. providing they are being fed right and are at the right age (5-7 ) months old they will probably lay soon.

Just because one lay-ed an egg doesn't mean they will all lay all of a sudden.

chickens develop at their own pace and so will come into lay when and only when their body is ready. .

If they are forced to early (ie by feeding layers pellets too early)

it creates problems like egg binding and even prolapses

    \(both very dangerous)

Next boxes . .  for 3 hens 2 next boxes will be fine.

They won't share (although sometimes they might)

they will just wait if one next box is being used.

also each hen lays at a different time to the next hen most lay before 10am however . .  it varies quite a bit.

also don't expect them to lay everyday at first they will do after a while . .  at least every other day.

    Make sure you have perches

(you don't want hens sleeping in their next boxes)

They will end up breaking the eggs and soiling the nest boxes.

and it is very hard to break the habit for hens that do that.

also don't be surprised to get a few "jelly-like" eggs in the beginning

(first few months) and even a small bit of blood ( i mean small) is normal as long as it doesn't happen every single day.

also the eggs will be smaller at first and sometimes be a bit odd shaped. but after a while things will settle down.

  2. Great ! are they egg laying hens? treat them right because the Hens are treating your right; a.
