YZ85 question?

If i get a 2003 YZ85 will i have to rebuild it because i dont know how to and i wont have any money left can i just buy a new piston and put it in and clean the muffler out and put new oil and clean the air filter will that be good enough or will i have to rebuild the whole thing. I ride it about 10-9 hours a week im not racing i dont ride like a girl but i dont ride heaps hard i just ride it normal

  1. needs more explanation...did you fry a ring, did you break something, etc...cyl wall need to be inspected, and fixed, if scored , etc.  if you go deep enough to do a piston, it would be silly not to replace other wear items, like any wear item that came apart during the process of replacing the piston.

If you decide to go for a 2003 model YZ85, surely you will not buy it with your eyes shut.  You must make sure it is in good running order.  That is the least you can do.  It is better to pay a small amount extra initially to get a better maintained example rather that to get something non-functional but cheap and then worry your head about it.  Buy a clean machine that works well, got it ?

    You have no commas, fullstops, capitals and is not grammatically correct.

    rebuilding is buying a new piston and putting it in.
