Question:

Yahoo Digests?

Recently my computer crashed and I lost several (4) of my Daily Digests that I was keeping on a yahoo news group.

My question is, is it possible to re-request yahoo groups to re-send these digests and how do you go about it?

  1. The answer is NO!

But you don't have to save the Daily Digest!  All the messages are saved on the group Message Archive anyway.

If your Message Archive is set to off, then your messages are lost!

Insure your group Message Archive is set:

    - Go to "Management" (access is only by owner or moderator with the appropriate privileges)

    - Group Settings

    - Posting and Archives

    - Edit

    - "Archive Options" set to Access = Members

    Note: Archive Options

Access settings are:  Anyone, Members, Moderators or Off

The same thing happened to me!  As a group owner, I saved all the digests - just in case.  Lost my PC = lost the digests.  But no big deal, they were just taking up space on my PC (archived via Outlook Express on my HD).

  2. sorry, there is no such feature on a yahoo group. if the archives are open on the group, those lost ones will be with those archives so you can read them- as long as your IDis linked to the group
