Yamaha amp turns itself off immediately

Hi,I've got a fairly old Yamaha RX-V800RDS amp. Bought it in London whereit worked like a dream for years. It then sat in a box for two yearsdoing nothing. I've now tried to hook it up in France. With nothingattached to the box, when I try to turn it on, straight after pressingthe on button a click is heard and the thing turns itself off. Don't get anylights..nothing. Impedence switch on the back is fine. French elecricity is not the issue either. Any ideas? ThanksDave.
