Yamaha p65 2 stroke outboard.?

Question

have just been given an old yamaha p65. no more info, am looking for any info available, and how do u mix the 2 stroke for it.any special oil neeed.

anyone with a handbook for it would be most welcome.

2 stroke boat motors take a marine grade 2 stroke oil to mix with the gas . The usual mixis 50 to 1.If you are not sure u can use 40 to 1. All the extra oil will do is dirty up the spark plug a little faster.

Getting a manual for any boat motor is a pia. They don't seem to want to tell you anything. But there are books available. You don't know the year so that makes it harder. The older a motor is the more difficult it is to get parts..

But before you get too far along on it ,,,just get it started and running. thats the first thing.
