AL the same to me. All a good fighter needs is a place to stand. I would prefer the old style raised ring with no sides at all. This has no place for a tired fighter to lean. It has no place to get cornered. No ropes or cage to take advantage of. When your out you are out. The fighter must show intent or get knocked out of the ring.

This was a farce to begin with, and this will be a farce as long as it stays alive. The "cheater's cage", I'll take that over some gimmick arena that Meyrowitz stole from Chuck Norris & the WCL. The YAMMA is basically the WCL ring plus the fence.

It's designed to benefit strikers and nullify the advantage grapplers have. It's absolute c**p.

Instead of the ring, I would rather see these changes in MMA

Bring back knees to head when on the ground and soccer kicks.

Fights will be more realistic and exciting.

This has nothing to do with the question, but i clicked on that yamma pit fighting link & saw a familiar face. Where the heck did they find Butterbean?? Last time i saw him, he was knockin Johnny Knoxville around on Jackass!!

It's a gimmick.  So's the cage.  All fighters need is a clear area.
