  1. here's the important stuff you can actually remember:

-yankees vs, red sox this weekend, starting like friday night. if ur going out today, thursday, yankees are off and not playing anyone. remember! lol

remember! lol because yankees and red sox fans are ready to kill each other. a fight might break out too!

-yankees are playing games away and at home. out of the last 10 games they played at home they won all of them. they're going on a HOME WIN STREAK

-the home win streak has something to do with this next thing. the yankees are in a division (American league East - just say AL East) with five teams. Yankees are in the middle with the tampa bay (devil) rays and the boston red sox ahead of them. yankees are beginning to catch up and are winning more games. the last six games they player were 3 games against the oakland a's and 3 games against the minnesota twins. they won all of the games or as we call it 'swept them'. feel free to mention that.

oh just one thing if you for some reason start naming stats [which from a buddy-to-buddy thing is cool, but on a date is a huge turn-off :(]  see if he calls RBI's (a certain stat)

"ribees" if he does that do the same because true yankee fans say it like that.

    hope i've helped lol cya

  2. i could just wrap it all up into a sentence in say the yankees are the best team in all sports

  3. Male sports fans generally don't like it when you fake liking sports. Be yourself. If you don't know a lot about the game or the team, ask questions. It's cool that he's a Yankees fan, but some things you have to learn as you get more familar with the sport. Don't fake like you're a sports fan when you're not.

Now, if you are interested, here are some facts to work with:

The Yankees are currently third in the American League's Eastern Division, 3.5 games behind the Tampa Bay Rays for first place. They also play against the Boston Red Sox this weekend in a big series in Boston's Fenway Park.

The hottest hitter on the team of late is Robinson Cano, the second baseman. Catcher Jorge Posada is on the disabled list, but is putting off surgery so he can stay on the active roster as a DH (designated hitter). This is also the final year of Yankee Stadium, the team's home since 1923 (except for 1974 and 1975, when they played at Shea Stadium while the current Stadium was being renovated).

I'm sure you already know about Alex Rodriguez, but I hope it's more than those stupid divorce/Madonna stories. And while Derek Jeter is the face of the team, he's not the player he was in years past. Still, he's a vital member of the team from an emotional standpoint.

  4. yankees have 26 world series championships the most in mlb. there going to have a new ball park in 2009.
