Yu-gi-oh Rules?

My stuped frined "Sam I" is haveing an argumant wiht me, we used to play crappy yu-gi-oh, does any one know the answer to this? if i attack a monster in defence mode and i have less attack than his defence, does my card die? or do i just loose life points?

  6. If you attack a monster in defence mode, you just lose points. Your card is not destroyed.

  7. if you attack a monster that has a greater defence your monster is not destroyed (unless its in a effect that says otherwise) and you lose lifepoints.

  10. When you attack a monster in defence mode that has less attack than the defence of the oppnents your card isnt destoryed however you do lose lisfe points equal to the difference beetween there points.

  11. You only loose life points. However, 3 cards have effects that does make your creature destroyed by that process

    1) Des Kangaroo

    2) Destructive Punch

    3) Continuous Destructive Punch

  12. hahaaahha well your monster wont die at all.. just lose some points.. unless a card effect's let him do that.. like continious destruction punch!..  or something else.. or some monsters like: ninja grandmaster sasuke..destroys an oponent's monster in face-up defense position without applying damage calculation or effect.. so if attacks wall of illusion(if attacked its returned to your hand) sasuke destroy it with his effect.. or sasuke samurai  destroys an opponent's face down position without flipp it  face up or damage Calculation.. i hope that this helps you ! :D

    read the ruel book by buying a new deck then you'll see the ofical ruels so you don't haf to ask!! :D V!

  16. Hello there, and I really like Yu-Gi-Oh, so I'll answer this truthfully to you. If you have a monster on the field in attack position and attack your opponents monster which is in Defense position, if that monsters defense is higher than the attack of your monster, you'll lose Life Points, but your monster will not be destroyed.

  17. your monster stays, but you subtract the targeted monster's def from your attacking monster's atk and subtract the difference from you lps.

  18. your card dies and you don't loose life points
