Zodiac Boat with Dog?

Question

We were thinking about buying a boat for pretty much just lake use. I like the zodiac boats a lot but we would like to bring our dog with us. Are the floors in these typically hard or would they be prone to puncture from her nails? She is a Rhodesian ridgeback, about 60 lbs. Thanks in advance.

Dog is OK in a Zodiac.  Go boating. It is wonderful.

If you get an inflatable floor ... cut a piece of indoor-outdoor carpet to cover the floor and ease your mind. If you get a RIB .. no worries .... If you get one with floorboards ... again, no worries.. for the dog's comfort .. a bit of carpet on the floor of any type of inflatable would be good.

Your boat should be fine, unless your dog has razor claws!! :)

I've seen large dogs with regularity around marinas, and yes, even riding in Zodiacs.  The boats are pretty tough, and withstand beaching on rocky shores.  I'm sure it's possible that anything could puncture a inflatable, but I wouldn't worry about it in this case.

No sweat. The Zodiacs are even tougher than a Rhodesian Ridgeback.

We have a Zodiac Futura MK II with a 3pc aluminium floor, it's no problems with our bow wows. The rest of the boats is made outta pretty tough stuff too no worries mate.

Just get one with a SOLID FLOOR.

It's the tubes on the sides that have issues> with there claws>
