The Borussia Dortmund sporting director is keen to get all three points against Bayer Leverkusen in the next league fixture before the clash against Ajax.
The German champions have started the season on a reasonable note and have acquired four points from the first two games. The Black Yellows have not played their best football yet, but have been lucky at times to get something
from the games they have played.
Dortmund have a tough week ahead of them as they will face the likes of Bayer Leverkusen and Ajax Amsterdam in the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League respectively. The plus point for them is that both the games are to be
played at the Signal Iduna Park.
Zorc claimed that the club has some very difficult matches coming up in the next few weeks, but insisted that the team will take one match at a time. He is keen to secure all three points against Leverkusen this weekend so that
the side has the confidence to perform against Ajax Amsterdam.
The chief admitted that the side has not performed to the expectations and stated that there are still some areas that need improvement.
“We should not talk about Manchester City or Real Madrid now. Leverkusen and Ajax are two extremely important home matches - two opponents we want to beat by all means. We currently make too many mistakes when we have the ball,”
he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, the former player hailed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Marco-Reus-c23733 and tipped him to shine in the Champions League this season. The sporting director added that he will the one to watch out for and insisted that the player will need some time
to settle down at this new side.
“Marco has the ability to find the right answer in every situation. He is fast when we are counter-attacking and has the technique to win one on ones. But you should not expect him to play at his highest level in 34 league matches,
with Champions League and national team [games] added on top,” he concluded.
The German champions have been drawn with the likes of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Ajax in the Champions League.
