Question:

ZyXEL Ethernet Bridge Won't Connect

I have two ZyXEL G-470 wireless ethernet adapters (bridges) which I am trying to connect to a Linksys WRT54GS router running Tomato firmware. The first bridge (either one, doesn't matter) links fine. The second refuses to link, or links sporadically. I can only get it to stay linked if I attach a wired cable to its WAN port and enter the admin console. It then links immediately. However, after a few days, the link becomes sporadic again, and eventually both bridges lose their links. I contacted ZyXEL tech support but they couldn't re-create the problem (they didn't have a Linksys router to test with). I even got a third bridge and it does the same thing.

I suspect the router, although it supports every other wireless device on my nextwork (I have 4) without a problem. I have tried different configurations on the ZyXELs (MAC cloning, static IP, DHCP, only b or only g modes ... with no success.

Suggestions greatly appreciated.
