I've just started the above mentioned book and I've got to page 26 before bed. What can you say to convince me to read more? My copy has no blurb and I have no idea what it's about.

  1. My family and i all agree it's one of the best books we've ever read. Continue and you won't regret it!

    As for what's it's about :

"Set before and during the great war, "Birdsong" captures the drama of that era on both a national and a personal scale. It is the story of Stephen, a young Englishman, who arrives in Amiens in 1910. His life goes through a series of traumatic experiences, from the clandestine love affair that tears apart the family with whom he lives, to the unprecedented experiences of the war itself."

  2. I say ummmmm dont read more!! I know its a classic but I really didnt enjoy it! In fact I never finished it so maybe I'm not the best person to advise you!!

What I do recommend seeing as you like to read "good" books is the BBC 100 best reads website, I've read 87 of them so there are some gems there!!! Enjoy! (Actually Birdsong is on the list so maybe struggle on!)
