  1. It means you have a duty to set a good example for the commoners,letting them know you have their welfare and well-being at heart. If there is a decision that has to be made between you and them, they should get the favorable benefit, such as, there is a drought, you should share your water for their flocks- or allow their livestock to graze on your property. At Christmas time, a gift of food or money for the poor of the town, or a needed repair is made at your expense.


  2. With power and privilege, come duty and responsibility.

    The expression is generally used in regard to setting an example of courtesy and fair play.

  3. Those that have more must give more.

    If you have superior knowledge and the ability ; teach it is your social obligation to pass it on.  someone or many people taught you.
