what do you think that the flyers need to do [as in trading players] to become stanely cup winners.??? escpecially now that RJ is gone. Why would they trade RJ?????? HE RULES he was my favorite players. Im glad that i changed my mind about getting his jersey though. any way please only state realistic trades!

Trying to sign Ryan Malone July 1st wouldn't be a bad idea for them. Malone can be real useful in front of the net.

Sean Avery wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Redden, Streit, Rozsival, Stuart, Demitra, and Naslund wouldn't be bad for them to go after either.

Losing Umberger was tough for the Flyers, I know, but it was best they traded him and got a few draft picks......if they wouldnt have traded him he would've walked away and they would've got nothing in return.

EDIT: Trust me, Philadelphia is in a good spot right now. They have a young talented team, and a talented goaltender. They don't have to make much changes. They made it MUCH farther than anyone expected. They just need to keep up the good work and stay healthy.

GO PENS...........Just ignore 'im. Sometimes people are so thick headed they don't realize a good player when they see one. My two most hated teams are the Flyers and the Wings, but I will be the first to tell you Lidstrom has talent, or Briere has talent.

GO PENS.......I can get along with any team fan. I'm not big into rivals. Even if there is a rival it's between the players and the opposing player.....not the fans. So, I usually get along pretty well with every fan as long as they're not a jack@ss. In the HHOF I had a hay day with a Wing fan, a Flyer fan, a Canuck fan, and a Panther fan......none of those teams are my favorites, but we put aside our differences and noticed one thing....we're all NHL fans.....Sorry for the long story, but my point is......I can get along with just about any fan too. =b

Shock..........I would HATE to see Malone go there, but I think he would benefit and do well there AND the Flyers would do well with him.

they should trade jason smith and daniel briere to the oiler s for raffi torres, jaret stoll rob schremp( crazy skiils remember?) and draft pick about 3rd round

Many people don't think Umberger is capable of doing what he did in this season's playoffs again, which is why the Flyer's organization traded him for picks. They are legit cup contenders as of right now, I think, they just all need to stay healthy during the playoffs.

EDIT-Broadstreetbully, don't even start this immature bullsh*t about Crosby "sucks" because he's a "crybaby". It's amazing how well thought out and articulate your arguments are, very original and respectful, eh? You don't have to take your own personal insecurities out on arguably the best hockey player in the world just because he's not on your team.

EDIT- Kate - Amen. I surprisingly get along with pretty much every Flyers fan, online at least =P, but then there are the few who act like this, and you wonder "what the h**l happened to this generation."....I love their arguments though. Makes my day every time I hear them, haha.

EDIT- Kate - Haha, nah I love stories. :-) I pretty much like15 NHL teams, and hate the other 15 haha...the only fans I have problems with are people who cannot make a valid or hockey-related argument when messing with a team or player that I am a fan of, because it just proves their ignorance and lack of importance to the hockey fan community. I'm not saying all this about this "BroadStreetBully" guy/girl, because I'm guessing they're a bit younger or new to the game, and was introduced by the Philadelphia media/fans and brainwashed to hate Crosby....or they're just extremely immature.. so whatever lmao...whatever.

EDIT - Shock's in the Mud - Oh, I know he/she can have his/her own opinion, but I am not going to respect it if it's "CROSBY SUCKS, HES A CRYBABY" because that really is not a valid argument for the group of people who say that "Crosby sucks." He obviously doesn't "suck" at playing the game of hockey, to those who have eyes, and he musn't "suck" at "whining", so what the h**l does he "suck" at then...?

EDIT - Shock's in the Mud - Reguardless if Crosby was a penguin or not, I wouldn't rip on him by calling him a "crybaby" because that's just not an original insult. If you're going to rip on a player at least find something wrong with his game...Mike Richards whines to the refs all the time, I don't call him a "crybaby" because that would just be plain out immature. I get what you're saying about the generalizations with Crosby=whiner; Flyers=Dirty team, but see I didn't call the Flyers a dirty team, and he DID call Crosby a crybaby, therefore I felt the need to say something. But whatever, Crosby has way matured since his rookie season. Think what you all will. *sigh*

1. Yes, I hate you now cause i like the pens.

2. My favorite team is the oilers and i will be fuming if they do a trade involving stoll, schremp and torres.

3. They traded RJ because the GM had to do his job in doing what he can to make the team better. You can't argue with that. If you want them to win a cup, they need major changes. They have to fill up the lost talent in trading away Umberger. They have to stay away from injury, and GET LESS SUSPENSIONS. And as for trades, we will see by this off-season just what they will do.

I think the Flyers are pretty good where they are right now. Pengs will lose Hossa and malone hopefully and there little dream team will start to diminish. I am upset with the Umberger trade but if it will bring in some young defenseman than i believe it is good. I truely believe that if we had a healthy Gagne , Timmonen and Cobourne during the series with pitts that we would have won that.

he has a right to express his opinion and i would hope by the fact he said he "respects" Kates opinion holds true

as I my self respect Kates input as well...personally i think Crosby was the best player on the ice for the post season in the East... he has silenced most of his critics and proved he is a worthy leader in the NHL...but you still cannot blame people for the reputation "He" has built for himself

P.S.. Kate...Malone could work well in the Flyers system
