i live in australia i have just recieved a email by someone in england saying that one of the member and wife and child died and they decided to contact me and the bank over there have contacted me they want a passport to confirm my last name on the passport but i am not sure if i can use the passport from australia or if i need to get a passport that has the uk passport

Regardless of where you live, you should NEVER EVER give your details to someone you have never met and/or do not know if you can trust, ESPECIALLY over the internet or by e-mail.

Sounds suspicious to me. What does the bank need your passport for? If anyone is promising you a lot of money and all you have to do is give them a little so they can pay bank fees, don&#039;t believe them. This is an old scam.
