Reguarding birthing lambs?

\i am in dawsoncity yt. in the bush. its 46 below the sheep are dropping and three lambs have died ...is there any way to tell when there going to drop before/there not my sheep i am only looking after the place for a week.

  1. boy you are in the wrong category for this question, but I can help a little.

    when a ewe is ready to lamb her bag will fill up and be tight. She will kind of walk like a baby with a full diaper, more of a waddle with the hind legs than a straight walk.

    Also, the v***a area will soften and look like it is bulging.  

    Ewes that are about to lamb will separate themselves from the herd and not eat much.

    the first thing to appear is a bag of water, it looks like a bubble coming out of the v***a.  When you see that, you have about 10 - 15 min. before the lamb is there!

    You say it's 46 below?  Get the ewes that with swollen udders indoors and plug in those heat lamps!  Good luck!!!
