  1. Payment is usually instant for those who pay through PayPal. On the rare occasion it may take up to 5 days for clearance if the person who initiated payment doesn't have the credit in their actual PayPal account. You will receive notification from PayPal explaining that you have a payment pending and they will tell you not to send the item until the payment has cleared.  Once the payment is no longer pending, PayPal will send you an email to let you now that it is cleared and you can send the item ...

You don't need to set up a Premier Account unless you would like to accept credit card payments.  Most regular sellers will have a Premier Account but if you are only selling on a 'one off ' basis, then it's probably not necessary.

A Premier account is easy to set up and costs nothing but you will be charged minimal fee for certain transactions, such as receiving payments and  currency conversions when buying Internationally.

    Hope this helps :-)

  2. Once they pay, it immediately goes into your account.

  3. If someone pays with PayPal, it's immediate. It might take a few days to get into your bank account if you transfer it.

To accept credit card payments, then you'll need a Premier account. PayPal charges a few pennies per dollar for credit card transactions, but it doesn't cost to upgrade.
