Question:

Regulars: Would you ever want to do what you do on GWS for a living?

Perhaps this is sad to admit, but there's a lot of money to be made arguing about politics and social issues. And why would you keep coming back here if you didn't enjoy it on some level? So if you could make it your career (not on Y!A, but on TV, on the radio, in print, etc.), would you?

  1. Please disambiguate what is meant by the phrase "GWS regulars."  This term appears to have a homophobic connotation.  I don't think it's appropriate to disparage those of homosexual proclivity per TOS/Guidelines.  I ask that you remove this question as it may or may not be offensive to community members.

  2. In my previous job, I had a blog (for work) and a monthly op. ed. column. I wrote about polarizing topics (or...as polarizing as you can get in the tech industry). I wanted to get away from the pressure to write for a living. But now, I find I miss my soapboxes. :(

  3. No, because I rarely *seriously* discuss GWS issues.

But... if someone wanted to hear a smartass give her opinion... now THAT I could do.... :D

  4. Negative.... I'm fortunate ; I don't have to do anything " for a living."

  5. Yes, I love arguing with people, and if anyone was willing to pay me for doing it I would be quite happy to make a living that way.

  6. Absolutely.

When will you be sending my paycheque?

  7. Are you hiring Rio?  I'm down.

  8. No, because then I would have to be serious and responsible about it.

  9. No, i don't think i would make it as a professional cynic

  10. I'd love to do this for a living if I could stay anonymous at the same time. If all the women I sleep with knew the things I say here they would stop sleeping with me.

Once I stop getting the ladies I wont be able to talk so much trash. So that would be no fun.

  11. lol h**l ya...your radio station offering jobs?

  12. I would only do it if i was promised free KFC for life.....................and £1,000,000 a year...............tax free............and a hot piece of a*s.

    Terms are not negotiable.

  13. I do this while I do what I do for a living, if I did this for a living I'd have to find something else to do while I did this.

Talking to feminists? The renumeration would want to be good.

    : )

  14. Depends on how much they are willing to pay...
