Question:

Rehearsal dinner in Chicago?

35 attendees for rehearsal dinner.

I hate to do large franchises like these, but they typically have the larger private banquet facilities that cater to these types of events.

Which do you prefer?

Maggiano's on Clark/Grand

Buca di Beppo on Rush/Grand

Weber Grill on Grand/State

  1. Personally, from those choices, I like Maggiano's. Their food is really good. Love their chopped salad!

  2. Of those three, I'd choose Buca.  I've never been impressed with the food at Weber Grill - the flavor is just kind of eh and we've always had rotten service.  We actually had our wedding reception at the Maggiano's in Schaumburg and while it was ok, it wasn't anything to write home about - the quality and taste of the food at most of the locations we've gone to has also seemingly gone downhill in the past 4 - 5 years.  We've always had good luck at Buca, especially with larger parties, and the food hasn't changed, which is always nice.  Plus, it's just a fun place.

    Good luck!

  3. Buca di Beppo

  4. I think I would either go with Buca di Beppo or Weber Grill.

Buca's Italian food is very flavorful and I remember that they do give you your money's worth. I really enjoyed my authentic dining experience there.

I have not eaten at Weber Grill, but I have heard really good things about it. If you really weren't in the Italian mood I would go there.

The only reason why I'm not suggesting Maggiano's is because my Italian experience wasn't as great as Buca. Their food did not wow me. I think Buca is a better Italian choice.

Good luck and have a fun rehearsal dinner.
