The Hertha Berlin manager has admitted that the team still has another hurdle to pass as they need to win the relegation play-off against Fortuna Dusseldorf.

He stated that the team showed their potential when they won a crucial fixture against Hoffenheim on the last day and is confident that Hertha will remain in the first division by winning the play-off.
“All we have done is what we had to do. I have told my lads in the dressing room that they can enjoy this for one night, but then we have to prepare for the play-off on Thursday. Can you imagine what would have happened if we had conceded? Things were not perfect in the second half, but we fought like lions,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, former Hertha and current Hoffenheim boss Markus Babbel expressed his delight as Hertha remained in 16th place. He hailed Rehhagel for his efforts and admitted that the team has played very well since the manager has come in.
“I am delighted for him that he has managed to get over this first hurdle and I am keeping my fingers crossed that they win these two play-off matches. They are a fantastic club,” he concluded.
Hertha Berlin ended the season in 16th place with a total of 31 points from the 34 games played, winning seven and losing 17.
